White Rock Gardens

From Historical Hastings
White Rock Gardens

White Rock Gardens came became public land owned by the Borough of Hastings on the 8th of April as per a conveyance between Francis Arbuthnot, Sir William Alexander Baillie Hamilton and the Mayor, Aldermen and Burgesses of Hastings on that date. The conveyance contained a covenant that only permitted leisure-related development of no more than one storey buildings on the land and mentioned a proposed use of the area as being for the construction of a Winter Garden[1].

In addition to the sports and leisure facilities offered in White Rock Gardens, there was a Hastings Model Village
