Queens Parade was built onto the Queen's Road frontage of the Central Cricket Ground, with construction by the firm The Howard Collins Group of Companies starting in 1956 providing both spectator stands and a small arcade of shops facing onto Queen's Road. By 1958, construction was well underway and was expected to be completed ahead of schedule late in 1958 or early 1959[1]. The completed development would create 23 shops with a larger shop on the South Terrace junction.

The parade was demolished for the Priory Meadow Development around 1995
