Ore Railway Tunnel

This 1,402 yard long tunnel[1] runs under The Ridge, with the entrance portal behind the lower end of Deepdene Gardens. An air shaft is situated just before the tunnel goes under The Ridge. Originally the tunnel carried a twin track layout, now reduced to single track working with the signal being situated at Ore Railway Station; the second track functioning as a reversing siding for trains to turn around at Ore.
