Chapel Terrace (Silverhill)
From Historical Hastings
Chapel Terrace was a terrace of nine properties in the latter part of the 19th century[1], leading into Alma Terrace.
In 1857 Francis Smith sold a large plot at the top end of Alma Terrace for the development of Silverhill Chapel. This gave rise to a terrace of houses opposite being known as 'Chapel Terrace.'[2]
By 1903, the houses had been absorbed into Alma Terrace, becoming numbers 5 to 13 Alma Terrace[3].
