Victoria Inn
From Historical Hastings
The Victoria Inn was a public house at the top of Battle Road. The building itself has been replaced once during its time as a licensed premises. Originally constructed and run by Jesse Hack who was a successful victualler in Hollington (giving his name to the hill - Jesse Hacks Hill)[1], the Inn and Inn-keeper appear on the 1841 & 1851 census[2].
Between 1920 and 1970, it was run by Charles Bristow and his wife.
