There is another Francis R. Bones with what would appear to be the same birth year who lived in Rye and had some connection to the Coast Guard. This gentleman died in 1895, his many Rye properties being sold in the following year by the Hastings 'Francis Bones'[1].
Building Society
It is possible that 'our' Francis Bones was chairman of the Hastings District "Self Help" Permanent Building Society which was founded in 1874 and had premises at 26 Havelock Road[2]. --RoyPenfold (talk) 14:33, 10 October 2021 (BST)
