Magdalen Terrace was built in the 1860s fronting on to Bohemia Road. An air raid, on the 3rd of March 1943, during WW2 led to the demolition and rebuild of numbers 182-186 Bohemia Road. The terrace was demolished in the 1960s to build a car showroom (Hollingsworth) circa 1998 which was subsequently re-developed with a Lidl supermarket taking the place of the car showroom, the filling station remaining on the site, although the kiosk was re-located from the back of the plot to the side.
