Located in White Rock Gardens, this house would appear to have operated as a guest house in the 1860s, visitors being reported in the 'Fashionable Intelligence' column of the Hastings & St Leonards Observer between 1866 and 1879, the address at the time being given as 52 Cambridge Road. In 1879, the contents of the house were put up for sale at auction[1], the owner, Annabella Frances Blodwell, declared bankrupt and having moved to 99 St Andrews Road (now part of Queen's Road)[2].
