Constructed in the early 1970s on the site of a nursery named 'Hollybank Nursery'[1]. The previous nursery had expanded from what was a relatively small site adjoining Sedlescombe Road South in the 1920s[2] to move further back from the road circa 1960, with access being provided by the newly opened Sedlescombe Gardens. Planning for the development commenced in 1965 with a number of different plans submitted prior to construction commencing early 1970.
