Block of flats built around 1936/1937 named for the Town Wall along which route they cover in East Street, the previous buildings having been demolished as part of the 1930 Slum Clearance. There was some debate as to whether a block of flats in this prominent sea-front position, visible from much of the Old Town beach was desirable in a council meeting in March 1934[1].
