Flora Verrall (formerly Hay), one of very few female photographers in the area, had her studios at 239 London Road from 1905 - 1907 and 275 London Road from 1907 - 1908. She was the wife of Walter Barnes Verrall and is thought to have originally set up a studio at the 275 London Road address in 1899 and been active until 1908 in the profession[1].
