A timber merchant based in Earl Street, with warehousing and ancilliary buildings adjacent to the Queen's Road Gas Works in Brookland Road and Murdock Street[1]; the properties being variously occupied as temporary stores (1922)[2], a garage (1922)[3], sawing shed (1928)[4], a canteen (1946)[5] and other usages.
The proprietor, Francis Bones was resident at (or the owner of) 72 St. Mary's Road in November 1881[6].
