Dobell & Bros operated as a family-run Art jewellers and watchmakers at 21 Robertson Street from 1851 until at least until the late 1930s. Following WW2 the watchmaking side of the business appears to have diminished, the shop changing hands to become Wright's Jewellers in the 1970s. The clock that was situated on Hastings Pier was known to have been one of their works[1].
