Broomgrove House

The Broomgrove estate was put up for sale at auction in 1889 being described as a "freehold residence with grounds, together with a cottage, two tenements and an outbuilding". The notice of the auction mentions that the upper entrances to both the Broomgrove and Bunger Hill estates were near to the Fortune of War public house and adjacent to three cottages referred to as 'Summer Hill Cottages'[1]
