Spencer Sargent (1802-1900)

Spencer Sargent was a farmer resident around Hastings. The 1851 census lists him as being the tenant of Broom Grove Farm, whilst by 1891 he is shown at Ridge Farm

Married to Harriet (-) he had two children, Henry (12 at the 1851 census) and Emily (10 at the 1851 census) [1] . By 1891, Emily has married and moved out but Henry is still living and working with his father with his wife Naomi (41) and four grandchildren (Albert (14), Matilda (13), Alice (10) and Edith (4)) [2]
