One of a number of pleasure yachts (or yawls) operated during the late 1800s in competition with the Albertine yawl
Collision
On the 31st of August 1903, a collision occurred off Yarmouth cutting the Skylark in half. Of the thirteen occupants, 6 drowned including all three of the crew.[1]
Motorised replacement
In 1906, a new Skylark was introduced by Mr C. W. Burton (one of the owners of the company) - this one featuring an engine. This vessel was reputed to be the first vessel alongside the stricken S. S. Lugano
