R. Clayton were a manufacturer of electrical and plastic mouldings company that occupied the old Shepherd Street Fire Station in 1969. By 1971 it would appear that they proposed to replicate the business at the Seaside Road Fire Station, this time adding playground equipment into their mix of products[1].
