Oxford Terrace was one of the earlier properties to be built on the site of Church Road[a], consisting of 16 properties[1]. The land was originally part of the De Cham estate. This portion of the charity lands later became property of the Whyborn family by marriage and were occupied by Jeremiah and John Whyborn[2]. The Terrace would appear to have been demolished circa 1973 to build Bayeux Court[3].
