Happy Harold

From Historical Hastings

Happy Harold is a restored 1928 trolleybus that is a regular feature in carnivals and other events around the town.

Returning to the town in July 1980 after restoration, this open-decked trolleybus was the sole survivor of a group of eight such vehicles[1].

It had for nine out of the ten years' existence of the "Trolleybus Pull" been the vehicle that was pulled. In 2010, Harold required maintenance and, as a substitute, local firm R. E. Morgan provided a lorry loaded with two tons of ballast[2].
