Gas Explosion 1963

On the 11th of July 1963, a number of gas explosions shook the western end of George Street and East Parade. Three hundred people needed to be evacuated and there were 35 persons injured."{{{Expansion depth limit exceeded}}}" is not a number. Numbers 12, 13 were severely damaged, and 14 East Parade sustained minor damage; requiring the frontage to be replaced. No's 12 & 13 were later demolished and remained a vacant lot until around 2010 when 'Seahouses' was built[1].
