2016 Fifty Pence Coin

In 2016, the Bank of England produced just over 6½ million commemorative 50 pence coins for the 950th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings. Whilst most remain tendered as legal coinage, one sold on an online auction site for £63,000[1]. The coins depict Harold being struck in the eye by an arrow.
