The Triodome

From Historical Hastings

Originally constructed circa 1966 to house the Hastings Embroidery as part of the 900th anniversary celebrations of the Norman Invasion, winning a certificate of commendation in the British Tourism 'Oscars'[1]. The circular structure on Hastings Pier was constructed to have a ten to twenty year lifespan[2] and went on to house among other items, a zoo/aquarium and amusement arcade (1969[3]). Following its demolition, it is believed the structure was sold - ultimately ending up on Brighton Pier.
