Bathing Huts

From Historical Hastings

To protect bather's modesty, bathing huts were utilised along the Seafront during the Victorian era. These consisted of essentially sheds on wheels located above high water on the Beach that could be taken to the water's edge and provided steps down to the water. Out of season, they were stored at the Central Cricket Ground.
