Yates bar at 53-57 Robertson Street is named after William Lawrence Yates, proprietor of the Royal Oak Hotel, former names of this establishment including 'Rumours' and 'The Electric Grape'. Prior to becoming a licenced premises, the building was W. H. Smiths
