From Historical Hastings
Located at 19 Stonefield Road, this pub opened in 1848 with the first landlord being Dennis Coppard. The pub closed in 1931; the last landlady being Sarah Howlett who ran the pub on her own after the death of her husband in 1929 aged just 59 and was then converted into a residential property[1].
