Magdalen Terrace was built in the 1860s fronting on to Bohemia Road. An air raid, on the 3rd of March 1943[1], during WW2 led to the demolition and rebuild of numbers 182-186 Bohemia Road. The terrace was demolished in the 1960s to build a car showroom (Hollingsworth) in March 1981[2], the premises subsequently being revamped circa 1998[3] which was subsequently re-developed with a Lidl supermarket taking the place of the car showroom, the filling station remaining on the site, although the kiosk was re-located from the back of the plot to the side.
